Bampton-in-the-Bush CC

Bampton-in-the-Bush Cricket Club welcomes you to the Bampton Recreation Ground (the Rec), inaugurated to celebrate the Millennium. The cricket club has a rich history stretching back more than 100 years and moved to this site on a full time basis in 2007. Having raised funds to lay a grass square, the club joined the Oxfordshire Cricket Association in 2011 in Division 9. Promotions followed in six of the next seven seasons and the club's 1st XI is playing in Division 3 in 2018. For the first time the club also has a 2nd XI in 2018, which is playing in Division 7 South.
In adult cricket, we currently have two Saturday league sides, and a team playing Midweek T20 cricket (a mixture of friendlies and league fixtures).
There is a developing junior section with coaching for a range of age groups taking place on Tuesday evenings at the Rec from 5.30pm. Teams play in various junior cricket competitions and friendly matches. There are plenty of opportunities for teenagers to play for all of the adult teams mentioned above.
The club is striving to achieve Clubmark Accreditation. To help with this members have raised funds and donated their time to build three net lanes, and the club boasts a bowling machine and a full set of covers.
The Club's Constitution is open and equitable and we adhere to the principles and guidelines of the ECB Club Inclusion & Diversity Policy. This philosophy is reflected in our Equity Policy Statement and Codes of Conduct for Parents and Junior Members; Cricket Club Members and Guests. Membership Fees are structured to encourage people from different age groups and varied backgrounds to join us. We offer General Advice and Information for Parents and Junior Players.
Outdoor nets/practice is on Tuesday and Friday evenings for juniors from 5.30.
In 2018 we have a full programme of Saturday league fixtures running from April 28th until September 8th;  our midweek matches start on May 12th.
If you are interested in becoming an Adult or Junior Member of any description please do not hesitate to contact us as we would love to see you. Please either contact us by going to the About Us section of this website and clicking on Joining Message, or come along to either the Pre-Season or outdoor practice sessions.

We would like to extend our thanks to our supporters, including Bampton Community Shop, West Oxfordshire District Council, The Morris Clown Bampton, P.D.Hook (Hatcheries) Ltd, Patrick Strainge Butchers Bampton, Cala Homes
